Your role

We are looking for a designer to lead the experiences of Mindbody’s mobile apps. This includes the business app that helps customers run their daily operations, as well as the Mindbody Marketplace app that provides wellness experiences to millions of consumers.

We are at a pivotal moment at Mindbody where a large focus of our work is modernizing our platforms and making our experiences easier to use. Design is at the forefront of our strategy - we are looking for someone to lead a team towards a vision while ensuring our app experiences are best in class, simple, and intuitive.

This role will be based out of India, reporting to a local Design Manager within the Product and Design organization. Responsibilities include:

You'll likely spend time working on

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to establish a shared vision, strategy, roadmap, and goals for our Mindbody Apps.
Lead and mentor other designers, being an example and resource for others on the team.
Keep a high bar - be the champion for product and design excellence.
Guide and accelerate your team, oversee multiple workstreams, and connect the dots between cross-org products for your team to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
Contribute to and help build the design system of a new suite of apps
Mentoring junior designer on their projects

About the right team member

Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in mobile user-centered design, UX/UI principles, and product strategy.
Proficiency in mobile design tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD).
Experience with mobile user research, prototyping, and usability testing.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Design: Strategy & Vision Presentation | User Flows | Concept Sketches | Wireframe & Mock-ups with Figma | Heuristic Evaluation | Design System
Research: Data Analysis | Task Analysis & persona hypothesis | A/B testing & experiments
Collaboration: Facilitating design critique | Self-starter | Flexible | Communicative

You'll thrive in this role with experience in

At least 5 years of experience in product design, primarily with app design experience.
Experience designing for complex marketplace or SAAS products.
Strong customer advocacy with a penchant for data and business-informed design solutions.
Stellar design craft, an expert in Figma and prototyping.
Strong understanding of the user-centered design process.
Able to influence product strategy and create beautiful, scalable framework solutions that delight our customers.
Ability to create effective presentations in content and function and can adapt communications to different levels of audiences.
Experience designing across both desktop and mobile products.
