ABOUT THE ROLE

Peloton is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with experience building and optimizing an operations function for the organization of the Chief Legal Officer (CLO). In this role, you will report to the Associate General Counsel, Corporate, and work with the Chief Legal Officer and the entire CLO team to build processes and procedures and steer the operations of Peloton’s Legal, Compliance, Security, and Government Affairs and Public Policy Teams.  This role will focus on developing tooling and automation, improving efficiencies across a wide range of systems to support our internal clients, and managing external partner relationships.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Responsible for the legal team’s technology strategy and roadmap, from the RFP stage through implementation and maintenance, with the Legal, Compliance, Finance and Accounting, and IT teams as key collaborators and partners
  • Primary oversight and management of vendor relationships with our legal technology service providers, including billing, contract management, workflow automation, and more
  • Drive efficient implementation of the Legal team’s recently launched outside counsel strategic partner panel program, including ongoing fee and matter management, performance assessments, and escalations 
  • Assist CLO leadership with development of team member lifecycle processes, such as team member on-boarding, training, and staffing processes to realize organizational efficiencies
  • Assist other CLO team members with internal process guidelines and workflows as requested or as opportunities for improvement arise
  • Day-to-day support of the electronic filing and management system the company uses for contracts and other important documents (currently IronClad), including internal CLO and cross-functional training sessions 
  • Build playbooks, process maps, and other documents and plans to support the CLO operational infrastructure
  • Support budget planning and management of CLO cost centers and initiatives, and work on applicable metrics and internal reporting; optimize tools such as SimpleLegal for internal reporting
  • Help coordinate internal and external communication, culture initiatives and activities for CLO, including CLO Town Halls and other Team meetings, speaking engagements, calendars, dashboards and newsletters

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 7+ years of experience managing sophisticated projects for in-house legal departments and experience in leading a legal / chief legal officer operations function 
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal systems and technologies and vendor management experience, including RFP and implementation processes
  • Strong grasp of the dynamics of in-house/outside counsel relationships and legal pricing
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to track and analyze data to show results
  • Independent and strategic problem solver who is a strong teammate (no job is too small or too large) and willing to take on additional responsibilities
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, innovative business
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and the ability to juggle an array of tasks
  • Experience in a business, technology, legal, and/or finance-related operations

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$187,300$243,400 USD
