OVERVIEW:

Are you our next Tech Procurement Administrator? We’re looking for someone to join our Tech Operations function within our Infrastructure team !!!

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Tech Procurement Manager in all aspects of technology procurement processes.
• Assist in managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely processing.
• Maintain and update procurement records, vendor databases, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather and analyse procurement requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential vendors, products, and services that meet the organisation's technology needs.
• Assist in the negotiation of contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors, ensuring favourable terms and conditions.
• Support the Tech Procurement Manager in vendor management activities, including relationship building, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless procurement processes and compliance with organisational policies.
• Assist in evaluating and optimising procurement processes to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall procurement performance.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in tech procurement, and provide insights and recommendations to enhance the procurement function.
• Handle general administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and presentations, and maintaining accurate documentation.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Essential Criteria:

• Some Procurement knowledge: A basic understanding of procurement principles, processes, and best practices, with specific knowledge of IT procurement. Familiarity with purchasing or simple contracts.
• Organisational skills: The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, ensuring timely completion of procurement activities. Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills are crucial for maintaining accurate procurement records.
• Communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and suppliers. The ability to articulate requirements and build positive relationships is vital.
• Analytical skills: An interest in conducting market research, analysing supplier offerings, and evaluating procurement options. The ability to gather and analyse data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Problem-solving abilities: Strong problem-solving skills to address procurement challenges and resolve issues that may arise during the procurement process.
• Technical aptitude: Familiarity with technology products, software licensing models, and IT services is beneficial.
• Collaboration and Teamwork: The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, legal, and other departments involved in the procurement process.
• Time Management: Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple procurement projects simultaneously. The ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment is important.
• Ethics and Integrity: Commitment to ethical conduct, confidentiality, and compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements related to procurement activities.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
