Spotlight Sports Group is a dynamic media company with a strong focus on horse racing, greyhounds, football, and sports betting.

The role will be supporting the Racing Post one of the brands within our portfolio. The Racing Post is a highly regarded daily national newspaper, and operate multiple award-winning websites and apps. Since starting as a newspaper in 1986, we have become the industry leaders for horse racing news, cards, and results, providing unrivalled sports content through various channels. In recent years, we have invested heavily in our digital portfolio, developing a number of innovative products including our must-have mobile app and a new customer-facing website.

An exciting opportunity has just arisen within our Marketing team in London. We’re looking for an Affiliate Marketing Executive to support the Campaigns Manager to drive new customer account acquisition and betting conversion during key event periods.

Your role will be to ensure that the day-to-day operations and promotion of key bookmaker partners are maximised and to provide support to the different areas within the Marketing team such as CRM, Social, Campaigns, and Video Production.

Stakeholder management will be key and include close collaboration with the editorial team, internal design, content marketing, commercial, product, compliance, and UX to ensure flawless marketing activations. This role will be based in London HQ two / three days per week.

Here is more of what your new role will entail:

Plan, schedule, and execute detailed affiliate marketing plans around key sporting and racing festival events (Aintree, Euros, Royal Ascot).
Ensure flawless execution of all Spotlight Sports Group campaigns, assisting the Campaign Manager in rolling these out across all key media channels.
Work closely with the CRM Manager to support various channels including email, push, and onboarding.
Perform regular quality assurance (QA) checks of all revenue-generating customer journeys across all Spotlight Sports Group products.
Manage the upkeep and process for placing adverts both online and offline across Spotlight Sports Group platforms.
Daily monitoring and promotion of offers available across all products on the group’s websites and apps.
Keep up to date and implement all compliance procedures to ensure Spotlight Sports Group communications are fully compliant with up-to-date government regulations.
Help manage reports on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis and circulate these to the wider business.
Analyse the results of weekly/monthly/yearly reports to guide future improvement of campaigns for revenue-driving channels.
Spend time with other marketing teams (CRM, Social, Video) to understand how each contributes to the business goals.
Become adept at performing tasks within the above areas to offer cover for annual leave whilst building a holistic view and experience of all types of work within the marketing function.

Requirements

Strong numeracy skills and competent working with data and with utilising Google Sheets.
Sports Knowledge and understanding of sports betting is essential.
An understanding or interest in horse racing would be beneficial.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills and a commitment to collaborate with people.
Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Highest level of attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
