Chief Product Officer Role

We are seeking a seasoned Chief Product Officer, reporting directly to the CEO. In this critical role, you will champion our Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategy, leading our initiatives to enhance the accessibility and effectiveness of mental healthcare for both patients and therapists. Your leadership will be key in steering both the consumer and therapeutic sides of our product offerings.

About This Role 

  • Leadership 
    • Uphold the voice of the consumer on the executive team.
    • Own the product vision and roadmap, and communicate with C-level staff, board members, and other stakeholders.
    • Provide transformational leadership to a team of product managers, focusing on developing agile and strategic executors.
    • Lead technical inbound collaboration with the engineering department.
    • Manage the Product and Design teams to deliver on company OKRs of net revenue and customer satisfaction.
  • Product Vision and Strategy:
    • Drive a product vision that aligns with user needs and business goals, leveraging a data-driven approach to enhance user engagement and onboarding.
    • Implement and manage self-serve and freemium models to attract and retain users, strategically steering users towards premium features.
    • Develop a strong feedback loop, incorporating user insights into product enhancements to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Product Leadership & Growth:
    • Create alignment throughout the company by focusing all efforts on the most impactful initiatives, communicating reasoning and urgency.
    • Implement prioritization processes based on business ROI analysis in collaboration with business stakeholders to deliver impactful product solutions.
  • People Leadership:
    • Foster a collaborative environment with design, engineering, and data science teams, ensuring cross-functional success and innovation.
    • Focus on retaining top talent through a supportive, inclusive, and motivating work culture that values and rewards high performance and innovation.
    • Empower team members to represent the company in external spaces, enhancing our visibility and thought leadership within the industry.
    • Implement coaching practices that not only improve individual performance but also enhance team dynamics and drive collective success.
  • Entrepreneurship & Technical Chops:
    • Showcase entrepreneurship with a proven track record in using advanced technologies, including LLMs and medical data sets, to drive innovation and effective solutions.
  • User Journey and Experimentation:
    • Design and optimize a frictionless user journey from sign-up to product adoption, increasing user engagement and retention.
    • Develop and leverage viral loops and advocacy programs, utilizing product interactions to organically expand user base.
    • Create personalized, self-serve onboarding processes using interactive guides and tools, tailored to user preferences for a seamless product experience.
  • Operational Performance:
    • Cultivate a customer-centric culture, prioritizing user satisfaction in every aspect of the product and support experience.
    • Utilize data-driven insights for continual product improvement and innovation, staying ahead of market trends and user expectations.
    • Drive community engagement and social commerce efforts, building a robust and loyal user community.
  • Engagement and Retention:
    • Develop strategies to increase user engagement and retention, employing techniques such as gamification, personalized recommendations, and responsive feedback systems.
    • Analyze user behavior and engagement data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing targeted strategies for user re-engagement and long-term retention.
  • Success Metrics and OKRs:
    • Define and implement clear success metrics and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to measure product performance and team efficiency.
    • Establish benchmarks for 'good enough' and set clear expectations for product success, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
    • Regularly review and adjust OKRs in response to product performance data and market feedback.
  • Back Office Operations
    • Make sure that the technical tools used in the organization are vetted for privacy, legal, ease of use and are complementary with other existing tools.
  • Additional duties as assigned 

About You 

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • More than 15 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of driving growth, building innovative products, and learning from failures.
  • Demonstrated experience as a visionary leader who has successfully guided multiple products through their development journeys, from conception to market dominance.
  • 8+ years of experience hiring, managing, and developing both individual contributors and senior leaders
  • A robust portfolio of projects utilizing user research and design thinking methodologies.
  • Preferred: MBA and experience at a digital health company.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
