THE POSITION

The data-driven, collaborative person who fills this brand-new role as Communications Excellence Director will help reshape how the organization thinks about how we better reach customers and drive personalization efforts and new marketing capabilities. The high-priority role will drive the organization toward a future vision of the FanDuel customer experience, where products are prioritized and recommended to customers based on historical attributes and activity. 

THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead marketing transformation efforts in conjunction with evolving audience strategy, communication personalization and product capabilities
  • Develop and guide communications excellence across FanDuel products across marketing channels, including influencing in-app engagements
  • Drive strategy around testing new communication, promotion and customer journey capabilities in conjunction with marketing technology and product teams across the business
  • Ensure FanDuel brand voice sits behind every message sent to our customers
  • Work cross-functionally to drive customer segmentation capabilities within product marketing and UX teams
  • Evolve marketing modular and dynamic communications across customer marketing and operations
  • Own roadmap across how we drive personalized marketing journeys and promotional capabilities in communications
  • Serve as key stakeholder in evaluation of current and new technology platforms to enable marketing evolution
  • Implement personalization framework across the CRM organization to drive marketing lifecycle evolution
  • Work closely alongside analytics and data science teams to leverage predictive generosity driven models that will guide how we reach customers across multiple products and maximize group value
  • Challenge and build on which attributes inform marketing targeting strategy
  • Manage and grow talent to help drive technical acumen and personalization efforts

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum 8 years of work experience, ideally in personalization marketing or retention marketing with a focus on personalization and push/email marketing
  • Has shown ability to lead marketing transformation initiatives and present changes to senior leadership
  • Expertise in brand voice and communications
  • Capable of driving product roadmaps to help fulfil strategy of personalized marketing across the business
  • Ability to translate audience strategy across product and technology teams to enhance marketing and product capabilities
  • Able to drive implementation and change management across multiple teams to enhance marketing practice
  • Experience leveraging large datasets and translating into actionable outcomes
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Masters Degree in Marketing, Business or Analytical field (or other relevant discipline)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and excitement around being part of a new team
  • Capable of communicating complex topics concisely to senior leadership
  • Able to influence decisions from a variety of stakeholders
  • Results oriented, with the need to be objective and measure performance
  • Track record of delivering business outcomes
  • Strong analytical rigor to your decision making
  • Ability and eagerness to effectively balance the big-picture strategic work with execution

The applicable salary range for this position is $144,000 - $180,000, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
