As a Customer Verification Specialist, you will contribute to the Identity Verification and linking of Entain NZ's customers and accounts. Your strong work ethic and relationship building mentality will see you constructively collaborating with your key internal stakeholders, including our Financial Crime and Safer Betting teams. You're known for your curiosity and investigative mindset, your process-driven personality, and your flair for understanding customer data and behaviour. We have offices in Auckland, Wellington, Darwin, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We value a flexible work environment and support a hybrid working model, allowing employees to spend two days a week at the office, ensuring work-life balance and individual preferences. This role will be based in Wellington.

Your day-to-day...

  • Provide accurate processing of the customer Identify Verification process.
  • Matching client records across Entain and catching data duplications, in order to meet compliance standards.
  • Escalate issues of non-compliance that could pose a risk to Entain NZ (i.e. Fraud, Safer Gambling, Money Laundering).
  • Diligently follow processes and procedures of the SCV and assess quality of the customer IDV documentation.
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a timely manner, demonstrating a customer-centric approach in all interactions.

You're a match if you ideally have...

  • Experience in a customer service and/or call centre environment, reviewing customer data and behaviour.
  • 1-2 years experience in a financial institution, or a baseline knowledge of risk/compliance practice is advantageous.
  • Good reporting and data reviewing skills, paired with a curious and investigative mindset.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity, prioritising confidentiality and best practice customer service at all times.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, paired with high attention to detail and great writing skills.
  • The drive to work autonomously, as well as building key stakeholder relationships and working as part of a team.
