The Director of Product role is a strategic position responsible for overseeing the entire eCommerce tech stack, ensuring that our technology infrastructure supports the evolving needs of our business. This individual will lead the product roadmap, manage vendor relationships, and work closely with cross-functional teams to implement tech solutions that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the digital technology strategy that will enable significant growth, new consumer acquisition and evolvement of the brand. Will lead the relationships with current and future agency partners to think about the website and digital tools to ensure we have a pinnacle brand experience that allows for strong commercial moments
  • Oversee the eCommerce technology stack, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability for future growth
  • Lead the development and execution of the product roadmap, including quarterly reviews and cross-functional alignment. Drive agile planning as a best practice to ensure the business and consumer needs are delivered on while maximizing the hours during each sprint
  • Develop rubric to determine the prioritization of the roadmap by evaluating effort vs impact. Ensure analysis completed on roadmap initiatives is sound and incremental
  • Manage all tech vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality deliverables, on-time execution, and budget compliance
  • Support the team in understanding all elements of integration and code across the tech stack
  • Collaborate with teams across the organization, including IT, Site Experience, Operations, Customer Service, and Creative, to identify and implement improvements
  • Build a long-term technology plan that supports the brand's growth, identifying risks and staying ahead of industry trends
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team by setting clear expectations and providing regular, constructive feedback

  • Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of experience in eCommerce, with a strong understanding of technology infrastructure and product management.
  • Experience on a DTC business is required. Work in a Footwear, Apparel or consumer goods company preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time, manage vendor relationships, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Shopify experience is highly preferred, showcasing the ability to leverage specific platform strengths. A broad understanding of eCommerce platforms and tools.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in building and mentoring teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to adjust strategies based on changing priorities.
  • Shopify experience is highly preferred, showcasing the ability to leverage specific platform strengths.
  • Proficient in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and one or more server-side languages (e.g., Java, PHP).
  • Knowledge of APIs and best practices in creating and consuming APIs
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce business operations and the technical requirements for successful online stores.
  • Good understanding of UI/UX concepts and implementing design systems.
  • Knowledge of database management, including SQL-based and NoSQL technologies.
  • Can manage cloud-hosted and SaaS solutions and understand fundamental performance optimization principles for e-commerce sites.
  • Experience with integrating third-party systems using APIs into Shopify stores.
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and their implementation in an e-commerce context.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Has experience working with Agile methodologies like SCRUM and Kanban.
