The Opportunity

As the PTT Player Relations manager, you will work closely with event organizers, players, and our internal team to deliver the highest quality tournaments and player experience. What You Will Do

  • Develop a player relation and development strategy and services globally to attract and retain players to participate in weekly PTT events.
  • Manage a team of part-time/contract or full time individuals responsible for player relations around the globe
  • Ensure with your network and the network of your team that 100% of all draws are full for the tour with main and alternate lists of highly qualified players.
  • Develop and maintain loyalty player incentive program and rewards
  • Track and maximize player satisfaction across the tour
  • Collaborate with the integrity department around integrity alerts, including analyzing videos and contributing to investigations 
  • Assist in venue operations during UTR Pro Tennis Tour (PTT) events including liaison with the tournament director, venue staff, referee, chair umpires, and players.
  • Support players with correspondence through helpdesk, email, in-app messaging, and other communications 
  • Develop trusting relationships and positive rapport with players, coaches, and team members.  
  • Educate, and facilitate their participation in and completion of onsite requirements (documentation and completion of agreements, tax forms, integrity module, and other programs)
  • Assist VP Tennis Ops with cross product player relations as appropriate (LPA, PB, etc.)

A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $80,000 - 100,000 annually. The final base salary for this role will take into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location differential associated with where the position will be filled.

Requirements

  • Strong existing network with coaches and players ranked 500-4000 in the world
  • Numbers driven and goal oriented, aggressive and confident in your ability to influence and inspirate action
  • Courageous, outgoing, passionate and successful at getting to yes
  • Work experience in tennis events in an operational and organizational capacity, with a strong preference for collegiate tennis coaching or ops experience
  • Experience interacting with other stakeholders in a tournament setting including referees, players, technology, and volunteers.
  • Extremely strong communication skills with demonstrated direct line management and cross-functional management of processes including internal and external stakeholders
  • You are an extroverted people person who thrives on reaching goals.
  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail
  • A self-starter and an “extreme ownership” mindset to deliver quality and customer service at all 
  • Desire to be world-class in everything you do
  • Travel up to 50% of the time
