Athletes Unlimited is looking to add a Manager, Sport Statistics and Information to our team. The Manager, Sport Statistics and Information is responsible for organizing and collecting all statistical and informational data related to Athletes Unlimited players and competitions. This is a full-time, remote position that reports to the current Manager, Sport Statistics and Information.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Along with the Manager, compile statistics and information for AU pro leagues: Lacrosse, Basketball, Softball and Volleyball, splitting lead responsibilities based on sport
  • Assemble, write and distribute:
    • Detailed game-day materials and notes
    • Printed and digital media materials, including media guides and season reviews
    • Post-game recaps
  • Compile and update statistical records and historical data for Athletes Unlimited leagues
  • Work closely with Director of Sport in assigned sports on in-season statistics appeal process
  • Participate in coordination of in-season drafts to ensure accurate compilation and distribution of weekly rosters to all relevant parties and entities, including AU staff and media
  • Respond to information requests from PR lead, media personnel and the public to ensure continued coverage of AU league and athletes
  • Serve as point of contact for game-day personnel involved with statistics 
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collegiate or professional sports information or relevant field
  • Prior experience producing in-depth sports-information materials (i.e. game notes, media guides, etc.) for a professional sports league or with a college SID office is required 
  • Knowledgeable about softball, basketball, volleyball and lacrosse, including expansive statistical understanding and the ability to translate that understanding into game notes form
  • Proficiency with The Automated Scorebook (Stat Crew) and NCAA Live Stats statistical scoring systems
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe InDesign; experience with Adobe Photoshop a plus
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Collaborative and flexible working style with the ability to work both autonomously (remote) and within a team environment (onsite)
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and projects to complete all duties efficiently and promptly
  • Willingness to travel to league locations as needed (approximately 2-3 weeks each season)
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends during the season

Benefits
