As Director of Product Management at Bungie, you will assume a crucial role within our core leadership team, driving the creation of the exhilarating new Bungie game, Marathon. From production through development, launch, and live service, you will meticulously craft and execute strategic plans in partnership with development and marketing while ensuring the game’s optimal performance. Your responsibilities will encompass team building and management as we embark on this captivating journey to bring Marathon to life.

This role will report into the Senior Director of Product Management and be accountable to the General Manager of Marathon Franchise.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the definition and management of product performance for Marathon across platforms.
Collaborate with game design to devise retention and live ops strategies grounded in industry insights and user feedback.
Formulate product and commercial strategies in collaboration with game and publishing leadership.
Foster positive and productive relationships that are built on trust with individuals and teams across the organization.
Establish success metrics and interpret data to steer product strategy.
Collaborate with finance and leadership to forecast revenue.
Identify growth opportunities, partner with stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion.
Prioritize feature backlogs with the Game Leadership Team to optimize engagement and revenue.
Manage the Product Management team to provide mentorship and setting up an org to succeed.
Establish fundamental processes and advocate for the integration of product management principles.
Conduct comprehensive industry analyses to grasp competitive dynamics and genre performance.
Utilize data to effectively communicate business performance and identify growth avenues.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and CRM teams to enhance business outcomes both within and beyond the game.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Demonstrated business acumen with a focus on strategic decision-making and analytical prowess, leveraging data to inform business strategies.
Proven track record as an adept leader capable of managing, guiding, and inspiring high-performing teams.
Proficiency in spearheading both operational and strategic endeavors across game development teams and studio operations.
Previous success in shepherding the entire game development lifecycle, from production to full launch, and overseeing ongoing live service operations with agile iteration cycles.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, fostering effective partnerships with diverse teams including marketing, game development, and executive leadership.
Visionary outlook with the ability to conceive and execute innovative initiatives aligned with overarching strategic goals.
Extensive expertise and deep comprehension of gaming industry trends and competitive landscape.

Listed below is this role's base pay range. In other locations that Bungie has approved for remote work, this pay range may be adjusted up to +/- 10% and some roles may be classified as non-exempt (hourly).

This range is determined by an array of factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. Additionally, it is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Bellevue Pay Range

$199,000—$222,000 USD

Bungie full-time (non-contract) employees in the U.S. also receive:

20 days of accrued time-off in the form of PTO and sabbatical days, depending on the level of the position
10 paid Floating Days annually, prorated in the first year of employment based on start date
10 paid Bungie-observed holidays annually
One hour of Paid Sick Time (PST) for every 30 hours worked

Contract and International FTE employees receive competitive benefits through their relevant contracting agency.

Prospective full-time employees located outside of CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, MA, MD, MI, MN, NC, NJ, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, or WI will need to establish residency in one of the states we are compliant in within 45 days of a start date. Contractors will follow a digital first approach adhering to the location guidelines agreed upon by our third-party employer/vendor and Bungie. Bungie’s remote policy is subject to change at the company’s discretion.
