As the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Europe, based in Withings Issy-les-Moulineaux office, you will be the local representative of Withings medical department in Europe.

You will be responsible for developing and managing scientific partnerships aimed at launching strategic projects leading to high impact publications, raising awareness about the Withings brand and products in the European medical community and demonstrating the impact of Withings medical devices in the management of patients.

You will be recognized for your scientific expertise and your knowledge of your territory’s healthcare systems. You will always be up-to-date with the available scientific data in your field, which will let you serve as the key point of contact for internal and external requests for medical information and training in your territory.

You will work closely with the EU B2B team, supporting their marketing and sales efforts with your scientific background, as well as the Market Access team whose objective is to obtain reimbursement by public and private US payers and generate value propositions for our medical solutions.

You will also provide feedback to the organization on the need to develop new clinical evidence to support new value propositions and work with the clinical operations and market access teams to define the roadmap to generate this clinical evidence.

Key responsibilities:

1) Manage key medical partnerships in Europe

  • Identify high-yield partners (KOLs, leading academic researchers, professional and disease societies, etc.), create and develop relationships with them
  • Serve as the key point of contact and manage inbound medical inquiries: research partnership requests, medical questions, etc.
  • Travel to visit partner centers in person, train medical staff on the use of our devices/remote patient monitoring interface/API if necessary and attend medical events (estimated ~20 to 40% of your time traveling)

 

2) Contribute to Withings medical strategy:

  • Collect up to date insights from the literature and the field interactions you have with healthcare professionals to feed the medical strategy reflection, and support the products value proposition definition
  • Contribute to the definition of the roadmap for clinical evidence generation
  • Contribute to the execution of this roadmap
  • Participate punctually in strategic medical department projects: targeted literature reviews, calls for projects, clinical studies design and planning, publications redaction, etc.

3) Contribute to EU B2B activities

  • Support the marketing efforts with diverse medical information and advice, as well as document reviews / validation. Actively track peer-reviewed publications involving Withings devices.
  • Collaborate with the sales team, participate in key medical events and congresses, client meetings. Serve as the medical expert voice, in tandem with sales representatives. Report on putative medical feature implementation from field interactions to the product management team.
  • Prepare and animate training sessions for the EU B2B team about the targeted indications, latest literature data, competition updates, or any topic deemed relevant to support sales performance.

Requirements

  • Ideally PharmD, MD of PhD in a medically-related field. Knowledge of clinical trial procedures is mandatory.
  • Similar experience and responsibilities in a Medical Device Company would be appreciated. Working knowledge of data management and API as well as medical communication experience will be an asset. 
  • Creative thinking and curiosity, autonomy, listening, communicating, interacting with people, problem-solving and project management skills.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
