Retail HR Administrator – Gymshark New York City Launch

 

Overview

As we prepare to introduce the Gymshark brand to the vibrant New York City market, we are seeking an HR Administrator to help us support, coordinate and optimise people administration processes for our brand-new retail space.

This role is critical to providing HR administrative support on the full end to end employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout all our People and HR processes.

The role will be autonomous, reporting into the UK People team, but working alongside our People Partner in New York.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact for new joiners, from supporting with the issuing of employment contracts, to conducting right to work checks, background checks and answering pre-boarding queries.
  • Main liaison point with the UK People/HR team to help support and deliver the Gymshark objectives.
  • Supporting the New York Retail People team with day-to-day administrative tasks including drafting letters, updating trackers and the on-going maintenance of all employee files/records.
  • Main liaison point for any people related administrative queries for the New York Retail team.
  • Supporting the UK Payroll team providing updates on pay changes, promotion and new joiner and leaver details.
  • Supporting and overseeing the administration of the Time & Attendance system.
  • Responsible for the people systems data management – ensuring its updated, accurate and compliant with NYPA data protection. 
  • Responding to incoming people related enquiries, escalating where necessary, and seeking advice from third party providers, and other colleagues in the wider People team.
  • Creating reports using spreadsheets for management information and working to deadlines.
  • Supporting the leaver process, issuing leaver letters and employment references.
  • Supporting the team documenting people processes and creating standard templates ensuring alignment with any HQ processes where necessary.
  • Responsible for reporting on People data, updating any trackers and reviewing People metrics on a monthly basis.

What You’ll Need

  • Working towards an HR qualification or have previous experience working within a Retail HR department.
  • Strong communication skills with a willingness to develop them further through regular contact with the wider People team, the Retail team and any other external contacts.
  • Experience handling large volumes of confidential personal data
  • An awareness of employment legislation and practices, with an eagerness to keeping this knowledge up to date.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrable skills in time management, prioritisation with a focus on data accuracy.
  • A creative problem solver with a curious mindset, proactively seeking improvements and efficiencies in processes.

Salary

The hiring range is between $25 - $28 per hour. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills.
