JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

Playback/EVS Operator is expected to execute playback to air functions using EVS IP Director during live and pre-recorded show production. Curate preproduced elements to recue, organize show content using an ENPS Rundown, effectively communicate with Edit Coordinators, Producers, AD’s & Directors while accurately cueing and playing tape elements in fast paced, high pressure live situations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Execute Playback of tape elements for live and pre-production
  • Select pre-edited content to recue for shows, curating smart “Broll” that speaks to the talent/analyst’s opinions and points of view
  • Organize all edited content for playout, build corresponding playlists per the ENPS Show rundown
  • Effectively communicate with Content Managers and Control Room personnel in the leadup and during live shows
  • Responsible for deleting obsolete tape and graphics from playout content and media
  • File transfers between EVS & Playout environments
  • Deliver fixed show segments to Master Control

 

Required Qualifications

  • High Football IQ
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
  • Ability to produce the position
  • Ability to handle high pressure live situations with late content changes or producing “on the fly” during breaking news

  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude willing to adjust on the fly
  • Works well with others but able to work independently

 

Physical Demands

  • During busier production events, long periods of sitting are required for 3 hour blocks on air without relief

 

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • Willing to work early morning, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holiday shifts
  • Freelance Operator shifts are based on production needs
  • Will work a max of 30 hours/week

 

 

Salary / Pay Range
