We are currently looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist residing in China to join our Project Management team. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring and streamlining global regulatory adherence for the entire Glorious product line. By working with both internal teams and external partners, they will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance, ensuring the success and reputation of our products in global markets.
This position reports to the Director of Project Management. The person in this role will work cross-functionally with internal project and product teams, as well as external labs, suppliers, agencies, and authorities.
Compensation
The starting annual salary for this role is 310,000-350,000 CNY depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and education.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the central point of contact for worldwide regulatory compliance, working closely with internal teams, third-party labs, authorities, and suppliers
- Travel (up to 15-20% of time) to meet in-person with certification bureaus, third-party labs, contract manufacturers, or other Glorious partners as requested
- Scrutinize compliance documents including packaging, quick start guides, manuals, and labels to ensure completeness and alignment with regulatory standards
- Oversee and update Glorious compliance specifications and certificates for all product lines, including keyboards, mice, mousepads, keycaps, and accessories
- Manage compliance document requirements for customs, customers, and sales in local markets
- Review and approve both product and packaging compliance for each target market
- Track and validate that products meet all regulatory requirements before introduction to target markets
- Create and maintain a comprehensive compliance database and internal compliance rules, continually improving accuracy and completeness
- Stay up-to-date on environmental, safety, labeling, documentation, and regulatory requirements for each target market
Requirements
- Located and authorized to work in China; residency in or near Shenzhen is strongly preferred
- Access to a reliable high-speed internet connection
- Spoken and written fluency in English and Mandarin
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a similar field is preferred, but not required
- 3+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, preferably in gaming peripherals, electronics, or a similar industry
3+ years of experience working closely with compliance agencies and officers; experience working with electronics compliance agencies is strongly preferred - Demonstrated ability to oversee and advise others on the compliance specifications for multiple product lines and variations
- Demonstrated knowledge of compliance/regulatory requirements in various markets
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- The ability and willingness to travel to certification bureaus, contract manufacturers, or other locations to conduct work as requested
- The ability to work independently without direct supervision for long periods of time
