ACCOUNTING & FINANCE

What We Do

Our Finance and Accounting teams build the financial infrastructure to scale our growing company. We combine analytical and strategic thinking to develop a sound financial future for our global brand. We work closely with teams across the company, international subsidiaries, as well as with external partners to ensure a world-class finance organization. Our team contains experts from fields like tax, treasury, purchasing, FP&A, and more.

What You'll Do

The Revenue Accountant will focus on the new areas of the business for Epic that have expanded and will support continued process improvements pertaining to existing revenue streams.

In this role, you will

  • Responsible for aspects of global revenue recognition accounting, including both technical and operational accounting, and ensuring compliance with ASC 606
  • Drive revenue accounting month-end close processes by creating and validating accruals, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, ensuring policy and SOX controls compliance, and developing customized reporting
  • Have a continuous focus on process and control improvements that are required, and the ability to communicate these to Management
  • Build cross-functional working relationships within the company and externally, and provide technical revenue guidance, training, and support to the Finance, Legal, Treasury, and Business Development teams
  • Work actively with external auditors to ensure that revenue recognition interpretations are consistent and adhere to GAAP at consolidated level as well as at local statutory level. Support external audit requests and procedures
  • Provide input for forecast with respect to revenue impact and respond to ad-hoc queries relating to the Revenue process
  • Work directly with existing revenue team members and other controllership stakeholders on these listed responsibilities and others that the revenue accountant is working on

What we're looking for

  • 4+ years in Public Accounting or related field - Big 4 preferred
  • CPA qualification or equivalent - desired
  • Experience with Workday
  • Experience with revenue recognition under ASC 606, including deferred revenue accounting, product bundling / SSP allocations, license accounting
  • Experience with technical accounting documentation including position papers / memorandums citing authoritative accounting guidance
  • Experience (either as an auditor or client) with external financial statement auditors - Big 4 preferred
  • Complex analytic problem solving and project management skills
  • Skilled in prioritization / consolidating and escalating questions timely and appropriately to ensure efficient completion of work requirements by deadlines
