About the Role & Team

Our Risk & Trading team at theScore is constantly growing and with growth comes an increased need for insight through Data. We are always on the lookout for the best talent to join us on our mission of becoming one of the best and biggest operators in the world. As a Risk & Trading Insights Analyst you will be responsible for working with the business to provide leading insight into all aspects of the Risk & Trading department and beyond. To challenge the accepted and ensure we can make the best decisions as a company. If you have a love for sports, numbers and betting, you could be the perfect fit to come and join us on our mission.

Typical Workday at theScore

  • Building and maintaining a market leading Reporting Suite for the team to track performance and gain a comprehensive understanding of their product.
  • Consistent P&L analysis on betting markets to ensure pricing is optimized.
  • Assessing patron level profitability with a data led approach.
  • Collaborating with all areas of the business to lead data projects to scope for future strategy.
  • Reviewing the impact of betting features and providing data driven recommendations to help scope the future state of the proposition.
  • Gaining an understanding of the customers through data.
  • Collaborating with Data Science teams to refine the next generation of predictive modelling.


Requirements 

  • Post-secondary degree in a relevant field, such as mathematics, business or other fields with analytical discipline, would be an advantage.
  • Data obsessed, not just data driven with the ability to gather and interpret data.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment independently.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to communicate findings to all areas of the business.
  • Must have experience with Excel at an advanced level and BI tooling.
  • SQL, Python experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong sports and sports betting experience/knowledge is highly desired.

Estimated Salary range:

Our salary intelligence, powered by our AI algorithms, has calculated an estimated range for this position between $60,000 - $80,000 . Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
