Our ECOSEC team provides a safer experience for Epic's users. We work across multiple products and services to improve technology and craft transparent policies so our players and users can have positive experiences on our platforms.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a Senior Security Engineer focused on Mobile Application Security to secure and improve our services, products, and games. Your efforts will be critical to the success of Epic and the many creators who depend on it. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a role focused on mobile application security and prior experience detecting and analyzing code exploits from 3rd parties. We are particularly interested if you have prior experience working with iOS applications. This is an opportunity to help create safe products for millions of users and advance industry best practices in application security.

In this role, you will

  • Directly contribute code and be a code owner for multiple services and code-bases 
  • Build services and craft process to analyze and validate the security of executables leveraging both internal detections and external service providers
  • Collaborate with the Epic Games Store and Trust & Safety teams to ensure the security of our store and users
  • Follow best practices and proactively seek out opportunities to improve the security of Epic’s products and services
  • Develop sustainable & policy-oriented solutions - Will help build the policy as it pertains to the future of how we secure the app store in a sustainable way
  • Leverage standards to unlock the network effect and follow industry best practice for application security

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, with experience in mobile games and applications security
  • Expert knowledge in one or more of the following programming languages in a security environment: C++, Java, Swift, or Go
  • Deep, technical understanding of application security, especially on mobile devices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • User-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative

This role is open to multiple locations across North America & Europe (including CA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

$202,965$297,682 USD
