Who You Are: As the Senior Inventory Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the Inventory Accounting Manager in a timely and accurate closing process. You will monitor transactions, update general ledgers, gather and analyze data, perform count observations, and complete inventory reconciliations.

What You're Good At:

Managing and completing assigned tasks as part of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close for multiple entities
Ensuring accuracy of inventory related general ledger account balances with proactive resolution for any identified issues
Preparing inventory financial summaries each reporting period to aid the business in understanding variances and trends
Reconciling balance sheet accounts and physical inventory at various third-party logistics locations
Performing observation of inventory counts at various warehouse locations
Identifying and leading inventory process improvement projects
Preparing documentation for both internal and external audit requests
Managing ad hoc inventory requests from operations for 3^rd party warehouse locations
In this role your goals and KPIs will be focused around:
- Maintain and develop inventory financial reports
- Accurate and organized reconciliations
- Timely journal entry submissions
- Audit request completion

What You Contribute:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA or CPA candidate preferred (not required)
3+ years of cost and/or inventory accounting experience, or similar
Strong Excel skills (SumIf, Lookup, Match, Pivot tables, data organization etc.)
Experience with an ERP or financial reporting and control system (ex. Microsoft Dynamics)
Ability to build strong internal/external relationships.
Excellent communicator, intellectually curious, and a quick learner
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proactive and anticipates results of their action or inaction
