OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative, organized, and inspired leader to join the Alo family as a Sr Production Manager. The candidate’s responsibility will include working on a cross functional team of talented individuals to ensure ALO product is created with integrity, intention and aligned with our brand vision and values.

The ideal candidate will have a proven production record. As a member of the Production team, you will participate in managing on time hand over of orders, analyzing sourcing trends and working closely with senior management to develop vendor, category, and country-specific capacity plans to meet overarching business strategies for our rapidly growing brand. Additionally, the team is responsible for trouble shooting issues that arise during production to deliver first quality product to our customers

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lead and support team of Production Managers, Associates, and a Coordinator.
  • Evolve demand and supply planning to deliver best-in-class products on time for launch dates.
  • Ensure product produced with integrity, intention from Po issuance stage to ex-factory.
  • Confirm seasonal monthly capacities with vendors and leverage our LRP to flex up on confirmed capacities.
  • Drive process and IT improvements/solutions to enable seasonal execution and drive efficiencies.
  • Confirm exact lead times with vendors to calculate accurate end to end production/coordination up front.
  • Work with and challenge vendors that are quoting lead times that exceed our standard average lead time requirements.
  • Assist team in resolving issues with vendors via weekly vendor calls.
  • Partner with Product Integrity, Raw Material and Product Development teams to troubleshoot issues that arise during production; manage issues to resolution.
  • Work closely with Logistics on movement of freight; while Logistics is responsible for freight movement, Sourcing partners with Logistics, Warehouse, Quality and Digital teams to execute timely product launches.
  • Partner with Raw Material team on capacity planning for mills.
  • Work on multi-season sourcing calendars and the execution for all tasks related to the Sourcing cycle (i.e., issuing purchase orders for one order, while another season is in production and a third season and shipping/in transit)
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams from Design, Technical Design, Raw Material R+D and Sourcing to ensure on time delivery per set calendar dates each season.
  • Responsible for Key Performance indicators that include on-time delivery and Air freight as a percentage of total shipments.
  • Issue QC chargebacks in partnership with QC and Product Integrity teams.
  • Work with Product Development on allocation of bulk orders to appropriate suppliers through consideration of capability, workmanship, and costing.
  • Drive process and IT improvements/solutions to enable seasonal execution and drive efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively within the overarching Sourcing Organization with the Product Development, Raw Material, Color and Product Integrity teams to elevate our collective performance and meet or exceed our goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in the apparel industry.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & cross functional partners.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of product cycle timeline and production process; Experience from a manufacturing background a plus.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Experience managing of a small team (team of 3-4 people)
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook necessary.
  • Proficiency with PLM/ERP systems.

The base salary range for this position is $130,000-$150,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
