As a Senior Reliability Quality Engineer, you will work directly with WHOOP Hardware Engineering, Product Manager and other teams and vendors to create product reliability requirements based on usage case and product lifespan for ensuring products meet quality requirements and reliability standards. This role will be fully in charge of hardware verification test plan and conducting failure analysis if needed. As a senior role, this individual will be capable of providing risk assessment at product development from a reliability quality point of view. This candidate will lead initiatives to maintain and improve quality and reliability of products and processes. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and implement reliability quality engineering plans 
  • Provide risk assessment on new product and mitigation plan from product reliability point of view
  • Define new product reliability requirement and update on sustaining product reliability requirement when needed
  • Analyze customer feedback, industry trends and production data to identify areas of improvement
  • Explore industry requirements and/or best practices on new features and/or new products
  • Develop and implement test strategies and plans to ensure product quality and reliability
  • Investigate product failures and develop corrective action plans
  • Design experiments to evaluate critical-to-quality characteristics
  • Train personnel in quality and reliability engineering concepts
  • Develop and maintain quality and reliability assurance documents

  • QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering or a related field
  • At least 5+ years of experience in quality and reliability engineering
  • Proficiency in the use of testing and analysis tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills of technical details and engineering analyses with domestic and international teams
  • Impeccable attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills 
  • Self motivated and proactive, demonstrating creative and critical thinking capabilities in a team environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes

  • This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
