About the role

We seek a talented and versatile Senior Social Media Manager to join our Platform Development team. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Platform Development to help establish, build, and grow our community and social media presence for upcoming game releases and brand channels. You will be able to contribute to developing our community engagement strategies, content creation, content calendars, and campaigns across various channels. As the company expands, there may be potential for career progression.

What you’ll achieve

  • Collaborate with the Head of Platform Development to create and execute community and social media strategies for evergreen and engagement campaigns and upcoming game releases.
  • Assist in building and maintaining our presence on various community platforms, including but not limited to Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube.
  • Help develop and implement content calendars, ensuring a consistent flow of engaging and relevant content across all channels.
  • Assist in creating and managing community campaigns and initiatives to foster player engagement, retention, and growth. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including game developers, marketing, and creative, to gather assets and resources for community content creation.
  • Engage with the community by responding to inquiries, feedback, and comments across social media channels, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
  • Monitor community discussions and sentiment, providing insights and feedback to improve community engagement strategies.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community and social media management and apply them to our strategies and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external partners, such as influencers and content creators, to amplify our community reach and engagement.
  • Support channel specialists' recruitment and onboarding process once the team expands, providing guidance and mentorship.

What you’ll need to be successful

  • Prior experience in community management, social media management, or related roles within the gaming industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong passion for gaming with a good understanding of gaming communities and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different channels and engage with diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with various social media platforms and community channels, including Discord, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, Twitch, and YouTube.
  • Proficient in content management and social media scheduling tools.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute innovative ideas for community engagement and content creation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in navigating ambiguous situations, willing to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
