Are you ready to take your career to the next level by helping us build a product that millions of users use daily?

We support more than 100K transactions per second combined, and we are working for much more because we aim to be one of the top three e-gaming and betting software development companies recognised worldwide for adding the most value to its partners.

As a Technical Lead at Sportradar, you will lead and guide the most important part of our engineering organisation - our people. Accountable for team delivery you will serve as a leader to improve productivity and predictability and nurture our culture of collaboration, communication, and coordination between and within teams.

Before taking on development leadership, you likely were a senior software engineer with a comprehensive understanding of complex systems that you were a vital part of developing & launching over the years. Your experience has given you the perspective to help other engineers prioritise tasks, shape career decisions, and face tricky challenges. We are also expecting you to keep up to date with engineering best practices, making you better equipped when helping your employees decide what competencies they want to develop.

We need our engineers to be versatile, capable of mentoring and enthusiastic about taking on new challenges as we continue to push technology forward. We are product-oriented engineers with a growth mindset. Our products need to handle data at a vast scale and extend well beyond betting and gaming.

  • Provide an agile working environment, organising and facilitating the team scrum events.
  • Ensure the team efficiency and high-quality work: enforce tech excellence, tech debt management and regular adjustment of processes and timelines in line with continuous improvement philosophy.
  • Learning and sharing experiences on new technologies and trends and how you can leverage them in current and future products. Lead prioritization efforts and provide mentorship to others.
  • Understanding how our business works and how products add value to your customers. Show software engineers how their work impacts the product (bigger picture).
  • Coordinate release activities, including clear and detailed plans or checklists for testing and roll-out.
  • Think critically about the long-term career development of team members.
