ABOUT THE ROLE


We are seeking a leader in Merchandise Planning to join our Apparel Planning team! As a Senior Manager you will oversee the accessories & women's apparel business reporting directly to our Senior Director of Planning & Strategy on the Apparel and Accessories Team. You’ll be responsible for driving pre-season assortment planning, while managing in-season financial plans and forecasts for multiple subsidiaries (at the department and vendor level). 

You will partner directly with cross-functional teams including Merchandising, Finance, Accounting, Allocations, Marketing, Production, and Data Insights to forecast strategies and initiatives that deliver against the company’s brand and business objectives.

This role is focused on leading merchandise mix & inventory strategies that financially support assortment plans to maximize revenue, gross margin & profitability while optimizing inventory utilization. The ideal candidate will lead open-to-buy forecasts for all product types, by channel. Ensuring bottom-up SKU detail is reconciled to top-down financial forecasts.

 

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Drive financial results that maximize revenue, gross margin, inventory turn goals and minimize excess inventory
    ● Responsible for maintaining pre-season plans and monthly forecasts with focus on receipt flow and ensure that available inventory meets open to buy strategy
    ● Collaborate with the Merchandising team to curate a diverse and effective product range for various store types and customer preferences.
    ● Develop Planning targets and buys for seasonal investments, including vendor strategy, and product mix to achieve balanced assortment plans across all regions, including international markets
    ● Lead in-season product management, pulling financial levers, modeling promotional opportunities, managing markdowns, and partnering with cross-functional team on marketing/messaging
    ● Maintain Global Pricing Strategy including competitive landscape analysis
    ● Establish key planning deliverables and timelines in conjunction with buy process and key financial deliverables
    ● Partner with Sr. Director of Apparel Strategy and Planning to reconcile planning forecasts to financial forecasts by subsidiary and develop strategies to amplify and/or address opportunities

 

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • 8+ years prior experience in retail planning and allocation for both digital and retail businesses
    ● Experience in apparel planning for international markets
    ● Exceptional analytical skills combined with strategic business acumen.
    ● Detail-oriented, results-driven, highly motivated, and entrepreneurial. Ability to act as both a “player” and a “coach”
    ● Ability to formally present business strategies and action plans
    ● Strong organizational and communication skills
    ● Collaborative, adaptable, and possesses a willingness to take on new projects

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes. Base Salary Range
$146,500$190,300 USD
