Come join our collaborative marketing team as our newest video editor and pave the way for the future of sports media and sports betting! As a video editor, you will create short and long form video content shot by our writers and content creators. You will be responsible for creating assets, graphics and animations to accompany on-cam footage. The video team gets opportunities to create content with professional athletes and teams!

About the Role & Team

  • Assist in the creation of video content for theScore various content platforms; YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok.               
  • Research and source clips for all shows and content we create.
  • Assist in the entire post-production of theScore’s shows and series including editing, asset creation, music selection, and sound design.    
  • Keeping up with the latest trends in storytelling, video production, social media and sports.
  • Work in Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop on Infographics, Motion/Still Graphics and Thumbnails for content.  
  • Working quickly and accurately to meet very tight deadlines (newsroom environment).
  • Other duties as required.
                                                                                       

About the Work

  • A general knowledge of all Social Media platforms, specifically YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok.
  • Advanced writing skills with superior vocabulary; ability to express yourself and excellent grammar/attention to detail.
  • Experience with Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere Pro.
  • Knowledge of and passion for the world of sports.
  • Experience writing for broadcast or video content and/or editorial an asset.
  • Be familiar with storytelling concepts like teasers, structure & flow, and identifying target audience.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and fast-paced environments.
  • Able to work productively both individually and with team members.    
  • Potentially working at different locations, so accessibility is essential, a valid driver’s license is a plus.

Please note that the actual salary for this position may vary, as it is dependent on various factors including but not limited to experience, location, and market dynamics.
