Position Summary: Excel Sports Management is seeking a motivated, marketing mind to create and execute off-the-field opportunities for Football talent. The person in this role will be detail-oriented, creative, energetic and personable.This position will be based in our Irvine, CA office. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Assists Marketing Managers with Client Management;
  • Planning/logistics for charity events/initiatives, shoots, camps, etc.;
  • Concierge requests (vacations, flights, restaurant reservations, etc.);
  • Client relocation (housing, moving, car transport, etc.);
  • Research (for projects, marketing materials, etc.);
  • Assists in keeping client information updated and current on all relevant materials;
  • Assist with recruiting and sales decks;
  • Attends and takes notes in sport-specific marketing and sales/marketing meetings and disseminates to the group;
  • Assists with social media and PR projects and initiatives;
  • Tracks client servicing requests and fulfillment;
  • Sends product out to clients and tracks all product sent;
  • Responds to fan mail, charitable requests, general inquiries as directed
  • Takes on individual client management as needed;
  • Shows initiative in determining areas where value can be added;
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • 1-2 years in Sports Marketing required.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: experience using Excel, PowerPoint or a similar platform is preferred;
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively and exercise flexibility as needed;
  • Must have well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide variety of audiences, demonstrating strong communication skills;
  • Must be comfortable with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes (verbal, non-verbal, and written) and being attuned to others through strong active listening skills;
  • Results and bottom-line oriented yet will possess sensitivity towards people and values;
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate uncompromised judgment and discretion regarding interpersonal relationships;
  • Must have exceptional time-management skills and be able to execute tasks and responsibilities in a dynamic, every changing environment;
  • Must be a flexible and reliable team player;
  • Must be creative, strategic, detail- oriented, highly organized with strong project management skills;
  • Must provide superior customer service and always seek to improve the client experience;
  • Must be able to think creatively and innovatively;

 

The pay range for this position is: $66,750 per year - $70,000 per year. This position is also eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus.   

Ultimately, the salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
