The Media Team: Genius Sports are the leading sports-focused Demand Side Platform (DSP) that specializes in connecting advertisers with premium inventory and audiences across sports. We are looking to further accelerate our sales efforts with brands and agencies who want a new way to reach and monetize sports fans through our platform.

The Role: As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for selling our programmatic self-serve and/or managed services, as well as our DCO technology, to brands directly and their agencies across EMEA. To be successful, you must have existing relationships with senior stakeholders at agencies and brands, as you will play a crucial role in identifying and closing new business opportunities within the Sports Marketing Ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate new revenue streams by engaging directly with Brands and their agencies across Genius’s comprehensive portfolio of media services, tailored to target various channels and strategies. Demonstrate expertise in our solution set, including market differentiators and platform capabilities.
  • Foster robust, trust-driven relationships with clients, serving as a strategic advisor and comprehensively understanding their business objectives. Deliver bespoke advertising solutions that are aligned with client goals and drive tangible results.
  • Collaborate closely with the Genius Sports Customer Success team to capitalize on all upselling opportunities within your personally cultivated client portfolio.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies in sports advertising to inform strategic decision-making and sustain our competitive advantage.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams at Genius Sports, including product, marketing, and operations, to optimize revenue streams, refine product offerings, and introduce innovative solutions that address the evolving needs of advertisers.
  • Effectively manage your pipeline of opportunities within Salesforce and provide regular progress reports to the leadership team.
  • Attend industry conferences to actively pursue new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential partners.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience in advertising sales, with a track record of driving revenue growth within the digital advertising industry.
  • Proven success in selling Ad tech solutions to Brands and Agencies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and build rapport with clients at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, identify market opportunities, and drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in sales CRM systems, ad tech platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with a passion for innovation, continuous learning, and driving change in the advertising industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field (preferred but not essential
