Remedy Entertainment, the creator of Control®, Max Payne®, Alan Wake® and one of the leading independent game studios in the world is looking for a (Senior) Audio Programmer to create high quality gaming experiences for the next generation of games.
As a (Senior) Audio Programmer on Northlight, you will be working with highly passionate team members to bring life and depth to every nook and cranny of the worlds that we are making with sound. This is done by extending and maintaining Remedy’s audio technology. This involves working with both the core audio tech and game specific features.
You will be working with other programmers and Audio designers to maintain and extend debugging tools, runtime features, such as ambient occlusion and sound propagation, and audio conversion pipelines.

What you get to doTake ownership of Audio systems and drive them to final quality.Create, maintain, and improve audio features, pipelines, and workflows such as audio propagation, ambient occlusion, in-game debugging tools and the conversion pipeline.Support Audio designers on our different game teams with debugging and creating new features that the games need.What you bring to the roleYou have experience as an Audio programmer in game projects.You have previous experience using, integrating, and extending Wwise or other audio middleware.You have a strong background using C++.You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.You have a passion for making amazing-sounding games and willingness to help others to make it happen.You thrive working in a team environment, sharing ideas and learning from others. You are used to collaborating with colleagues across different departments and you are able to communicate and present your ideas in a clear and coherent way.
