3D ARTIST – GENERALIST - LEVEL: MID/SENIOR
Have a look at Beyond Sports! We’re looking for a talented and creative artist to work at the highest levels of virtual and augmented reality in E-sports. This person will be responsible for creating and implementing art assets and translating concepts, design ideas, and requirements into an engaging E sports experience. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of experience with Unity (unreal is a plus), strong organizational and creative skills, a keen eye for details, and the analytical skills for identifying potential issues in a design plan. Working together with our other departments, this role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a good sense of teamwork for developing a unified common vision. Knowledge and love for sports is not required.
Objectives of this role
Create assets based on creative direction and concepts and take ownership of implementing them in an engine.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in delivering complex art features based on deadlines and quality standard.
Mentor and lead junior artists on the team to help maintain quality of product, and processes.
Partner with development and production teams to ensure that goals and schedules are compatible with business and project needs.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and implement high-quality art features.
Create and iterate quickly on prototypes that showcase new designs and features.
Create large environments via modular/kit bash approach.
Design, build, and maintain efficient, reliable, and reusable assets.
Organize existing library of assets for easy access.
Identify process and application bottlenecks and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Required skills and qualifications
Three or more years of experience in Blender
Three or more years of experience in Unity (unreal is a plus) 3D content development.
A strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Experience with PBR workflow and able to apply it for different engines (Unity/Unreal).
Experience with implementing game assets (ex: meshes, animations, materials).
Experience in optimizing game assets and render performance (GPU and CPU)
Ability to review, identify errors and troubleshoot.
Able to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred skills and qualification
A solid understanding of lighting in Unity or any other game engine.
