The Consumer and Media Insights (CMI) Operations team are responsible for ongoing delivery of survey data to clients. The Nielsen Consumer survey provides a 360 degree view of the consumer, and provides valuable insights to our clients on what people are buying, watching and doing.
The Operations team, based in Bangalore, are seeking an enthusiastic, permanent new team member to join the hard working, collaborative team.
Day to day, Operations Data Specialist plays an important role in impacting what data we provide to clients. They will work closely with key stakeholders in the Pacific survey process to ensure the data we provide is high quality, accurate and timely.
Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshooting technical data queries and assisting internal stakeholdersAbility to identify, explain and resolve complex data errors or situations, investigation and resolution of data issuesDevelop a good understanding of our questionnairesAdherring to project timeframes ensuring all scheduled tasks are completed within the given timelineEnsuring that new elements and questions mature correctly in databasesImplementation of database changes & requestsConducting data audits as per defined processUpdating and maintenance of data entitlements within client databasesResponsible for preparing and processing of data in a timely and quality driven mannerResponsible for ensuring all Quality Control checks and analysis required by the Operations team are completed within the agreed timeframes and in accordance with documented procedures ensuring quality of data is maintained at all timesProcessing and delivery of databases for new clients or special requestsCollaborate effectively with the Pacific production team on a daily basis to ensure a smooth data delivery to clientsContributing towards the quality delivery of data to clients, following appropriate procedures and approval in the given timeContribution towards process improvement and implementationReport daily tasks in the reporting software and to your team leaderCoaching and training junior team members when requiredWork inclusively with your team and stakeholdersSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEDemonstrated experience (2 to 3 years) analyzing large datasets in a fast-paced environment; Market research or related fields preferredUnderstanding of Survey methodologies including tracking studies recommendedMinimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with SQL databasesProficient in developing and executing complex SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulationExperience in building data for the data analysis toolExperience in data analysis and ability to provide insightsAbility to work in a fast-paced production environment and meet tight delivery deadlinesAbility to work autonomously and as part of a team, within a global companyExcellent attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skillsGood organisational skills & the ability to juggle competing prioritiesConfidence liaising with internal stakeholdersDemonstrated enthusiasm for data analytics and its application in problem-solving.Outside of the box, solution focused thinkingA ‘can do’ attitudeIntermediate to Advance level of proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets preferredKnowledge/experience using a workforce planning/scheduling tool
