The Kitchener Rangers are seeking a responsible and organized Part-Time Academic Lead to provide afternoon academic supervision and support to student-athletes. The role includes overseeing independent study, ensuring academic accountability, and maintaining a structured learning environment. This is a temporary position to fill in for the 2025-2026 academic year. 

The temporary, part-time Academic Lead will work 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, during the season (appr. 36 weeks) to support the student-athletes. They will coach student-athletes directly in academic areas and mentor them in the process of becoming more confident, self-directed learners while meeting their academic goals. 

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• Experience in education and/or in academic supervision
• Ability to communicate effectively and teach/coach others
• Comfortable working with high school students in a structured yet flexible setting

Pay for this fixed term position is $25 CAD per hour, payable in bi-weekly installments.  The selected candidate will be required to complete all prerequisites for employment, including those required by Hockey Canada, the Ontario Hockey Federation, or any other governing body, including but not limited to background screening, Respect in Sport training, and other mandatory training courses.
