At TPH, our purpose is to lead the world in the holistic development of student-athletes, advancing – in and beyond the game – the next generation of impact players. We are an academy-style athletics program that enables the opportunity to develop athletics, academics, and character while helping student-athletes achieve their long term athletic goals.

We are looking for a middle school Academic Success Coach who can be an important member of our TPH Academy in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Success Coach will lead our middle school room in helping our students with our blended learning platform and monitor the progress of our middle school student-athletes. They will coach student athletes directly in academic areas and mentor them in the process of becoming more confident, self-directed learners while meeting their academic goals. The Academic Success Coach works with the academic team in providing instruction and support in study strategies, time management, and other skills necessary for student success. They multitask and work hand-in-hand with the Head of Academics to develop skills, behaviors and habits that contribute to the success at the Academy. 

Education, Experience and Skills Required

• Bachelor’s degree in related field 2+ years of experience and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to communicate effectively and teach/coach others.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Computer skills including Google Suite, social media Canva and ability to learn other software programs utilized by TPH.

Pay range for the position is $36,000-$40,000 based on experience. Position is year round and comes with full benefits. The selected candidate will be required to complete all prerequisites for employment, including those required by USA Hockey and any other governing body, including but not limited to background screening, Safe Sport training and any other mandatory training courses. There is also an expectation of driving students back and forth to the rink in a company van.
