ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE, SALES AND CLIENT SERVICES (SASKATCHEWAN HIGH SCHOOLS ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION)

THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for an Account Executive, Sales & Client Services to join our team in Regina, Saskatchewan.

The Account Executive will manage the day-to-day operations of the high school sports property. This role acts as the main point of contact for Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association (SHSAA) sponsors and is responsible for client contract fulfillment, cultivating positive client relationships and performing other tasks as required on behalf of Playfly Sports Properties and the SHSAA. The person in this role will work on-site with the SHSAA Executive Director and staff daily. This role will also generate incremental sponsorship revenue to meet and exceed individual and team goals.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Execute fulfillment, including gameday operations and on-site activation
  • Fulfill benefits per corporate partner agreements and develop relationships between partners and the high school association
  • Obtain and manage all necessary proof of performance records
  • Help develop and execute a sales plan to meet and/or exceed assigned annual revenue targets
  • Identify potential sponsors for the SHSAA sports property through networking with SHSAA stakeholders & business partners and researching local, regional & national companies
  • Assist in prospecting, discovery meetings, and closing of a significant number of new and renewal high level corporate sponsorships
  • Assist in the development of compelling sales presentations for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of partner’s marketing goals
  • Represent the SHSAA sports property, SHSAA, and Playfly Sports Properties in a professional manner
  • Research sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions
  • Build strong understanding of all Playfly business units and offerings in order to leverage new business areas, leads, and categories
  • Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Three years of direct sales experience in the sports multi-media environment or equivalent field preferred
  • Experience with integrated and “conceptual” sales
  • Ability to generate and present ideas/concepts succinctly and provide creative solutions to prospects/clients
  • Must possess organizational skills, specifically relating to managing contract fulfillment and contract proof of performance requirements
  • Ability to be a self-starter
  • Outstanding communication skills are essential for interactions with clients, operational leaders and other senior executives
  • Ability to demonstrate professional sales presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Adobe Photoshop skills preferred
  • Understanding of KORE sales program or similar systems preferred
  • Must be driven and coachable to execute the Playfly Sports Properties revenue model and to understand the distinctive relationship with the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

  • Must be available for game days and evening athletic events
  • Must be available to travel for client presentations
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends around sporting events
