[solidcore] is looking for a Director of Accounting to join our HQ team. Our ideal Director of Accounting is an experienced accounting professional and CPA with deep technical expertise and with multi-location retail experience who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting our continued expansion across multiple markets, including international.
This role would be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, leading month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring GAAP compliance across our complex corporate structure, overseeing the annual financial statement audits, and managing key accounting functions. The Director will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:Lead monthly and annual close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and account reconciliations across multiple entities and locationsSupervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional development and operational excellenceEnsure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate policies across all accounting functionsCollaborate with FP&A team on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support business decision-makingLead special projects including system implementations, process improvements, acquisition accounting, international accounting, and new business venturesPartner with operations teams on new studio openings and accounting setup requirementsLead the annual audit processes with big four external auditorsDevelop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls documentationQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA license8+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly revenue recognition (ASC 606) and lease accounting (ASC 842) Proven track record of leading month-end close processes and managing tight deadlinesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailExcellent leadership and team management capabilitiesAdvanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software and systems including AlteryxMust be local to the Arlington/DMV area[solidcore] is a national boutique fitness company with 100+ studios across the country.
