We are looking for a detail-oriented and communicative Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our finance team for temporary coverage. This assignment will last approximately 12 weeks, starting as soon as possible. Weekly hours required may vary between about 20-30 hours per week, depending on the business need. 

In this role, you will be the "boots on the ground" (remotely, of course) for our collections process, ensuring timely payments while maintaining positive customer relationships. You will work in a tight-knit partnership with our Senior Customer Account Specialist to resolve account discrepancies and optimize our cash flow. 

Key Responsibilities

• Proactive Collections: Conduct outbound collection calls and compose professional emails to follow up on overdue invoices.
• Collaborative Support: Work closely with the Senior Customer Account Specialist to identify high-priority accounts and execute tailored collection strategies.
• Account Maintenance: Update customer files with contact information and detailed notes regarding payment status and promises to pay.
• Reporting: Provide weekly updates on the status of "at-risk" accounts and total collections progress.

Qualifications

• Communication Style: A "firm but fair" approach. You should be comfortable picking up the phone and navigating difficult conversations with professional grace.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in AR, billing, or general customer service is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic formulas and data entry) and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP).
• Organization: The ability to manage a high volume of emails and calls without letting small details slip through the cracks.
• Reliability: Since this is a part-time role (20–30 hours based on weekly business needs), we need someone who is consistent with their schedule to ensure no gaps in the collection cycle.

Entirely remote jobs that could be performed in Colorado: Employees can expect to be paid a salary of between $20 to $25 / hour.
