About the Role We are seeking an AEM Tech Lead Engineer to join our Technology team on a permanent, full-time basis. As the AEM Tech Lead Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for our AEM Platform Squad, driving the authoring experience and digital customer experiences across key Tennis Australia platforms, including tennis.com.au. The squad is responsible for building and integrating dynamic digital experiences and services, including video and multimedia content, calendars and scheduling tools, forms, social media feeds, advertising placements, tournament schedules, results and draws, as well as global navigation components. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will combine deep technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring scalable, secure and high-performing solutions are delivered in line with stakeholder expectations and AEM best practices. In this role, you will: Lead the technical direction and roadmap for Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS), ensuring alignment with business objectives and digital experience goals.

• Design, develop and maintain scalable AEM solutions, including components, templates, workflows, content fragments, experience fragments and integrations.

Provide technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to developers, promoting engineering excellence, quality delivery and best practices.Lead full-stack solution delivery across AEM, React, Node.js, Java, REST and GraphQL APIs, and third-party platforms. Manage AEM Cloud environments, Cloud Manager pipelines, deployments, performance optimisation, security, monitoring and production support. Champion Agile delivery, automated testing, continuous improvement, innovation and effective technical documentation.

About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a combination of strong AEM technical expertise, leadership capability and a passion for delivering exceptional digital experiences.

Must Have 4–5+ years of hands-on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) experience, supported by a strong software engineering background. Proven experience delivering AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) solutions, including Cloud Manager, Dispatcher configuration, deployments and performance optimisation. Deep knowledge of AEM architecture, including Sling, OSGi, JCR, CRX, workflows, templates, content fragments and experience fragments. Strong full-stack development experience across Java, Node.js, TypeScript, React, HTML, CSS/SASS and modern JavaScript frameworks. Experience designing, building and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs, along with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows and automated testing practices. Demonstrated experience leading technical teams, mentoring developers and delivering enterprise-scale solutions in production environments. Nice to Have Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) certification or other Adobe Experience Cloud certifications. Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Campaign or other Adobe Experience Cloud products. Exposure to Elasticsearch and enterprise search implementations. Experience with AWS, Azure or other cloud platforms and related certifications. Experience supporting high-traffic digital platforms, large-scale websites or live event environments. A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and building high-performing teams. Additional Requirements Hold, or be willing to obtain, a current Police Check and Working with Children Check. Flexibility to support occasional out-of-hours activities associated with Tennis Australia events and operations.
