You will be responsible for producing and executing digital content that supports and showcases the value of CrossFit affiliation and drives awareness across the affiliate community. This role supports the Director of Community Marketing with hands-on content creation, graphic design, and campaign execution across social, web, and other owned channels.
Working in close partnership with the Social, Integrated Marketing and cross-functional stakeholders, this contractor translates campaign priorities and affiliate messaging into compelling, on-brand digital content. Their work spans social media graphics, website asset updates, campaign briefing support, and always-on affiliate communications.
While the primary focus of this role is the affiliate and training channels, the contractor may also support adjacent social channels—CrossFit and CrossFit Games—with graphic design and digital content needs as capacity and priorities allow.
Social Media Content & Graphics
- Design and produce social media graphics for CrossFit’s affiliate and training channels, spotlighting the value of affiliation through compelling visuals and community storytelling
- Support CrossFit and CrossFit Games social accounts with graphic design as directed and prioritized by the marketing team
- Develop evergreen social content that reinforces affiliate program messaging and drives ongoing awareness
- Create digital assets for CrossFit Affiliate event promotion, including conference lead-up campaigns, on-site activation materials, and post-event recap content
Website & Digital Asset Updates (ATK)
- Assist with page copy updates and content refreshes for affiliate-facing web properties, including the Affiliate Toolkit (ATK)
- Create and update thumbnail graphics, evergreen visuals, and adapted versions of existing design assets
- Ensure all digital assets are on-brand, current, and optimized for the affiliate audience
- Support ongoing site maintenance, including updating evergreen content and flagging outdated or inaccurate information
Campaign & Content Briefing Support
- Assist in briefing and planning campaign content assets across key initiatives, including the 2026 CrossFit Owners and Coaches Conference, brand campaigns, and affiliate programs
- Support tactical execution of always-on initiatives such as owner town hall communications, email campaigns, and recurring affiliate resources
- Collaborate with the Director of Community Marketing to align content output with campaign calendars and strategic priorities
- Assist in coordinating content handoffs and ensure assets are delivered on time and channel-ready
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Content and Social teams to ensure affiliate content aligns with broader CrossFit brand standards
- Coordinate with publishing teams to ensure timely and accurate asset delivery
- Provide support for graphic design needs across the marketing team as capacity allows, particularly for affiliate-adjacent channels
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, AND SKILL:
- 3–5+ years of experience in digital content creation, social media design, or a related marketing or creative role
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Canva
- Strong graphic design skills with a demonstrated portfolio of social media and digital content work
- Experience writing or editing web copy and digital marketing content
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver quality work on deadline
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and respond effectively to direction from multiple stakeholders
- Experience supporting marketing or events teams in content production and campaign execution preferred
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and basic web publishing a plus
- Knowledge of the CrossFit brand, affiliate community, or functional fitness space a plus
