The Personalization & Progress Team at WHOOP is responsible for the end to end coaching experience from identifying goals, setting weekly plans, providing daily recommendations, to creating beautiful visualizations of their progress. We take a very data-driven approach to everything we do, meaning we frequently measure the performance of our features and make iterations based on those results.
As an AI Engineer II joining WHOOP’s Personalization & Progress Software team, you’ll play a large role in architecting and implementing a unified LLM platform that integrates with the member services pipeline and the rest of WHOOP’s ecosystem. This role requires a strong knowledge of Large Language Models and an ability to invent, implement and successfully launch production ready solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Help execute WHOOP's vision to build/scale a unified interactive coaching platform that allows members to progress towards their health goalsBuild software that will solve the needs of multiple cross-functional teamsContribute to internal tooling to support development of AI featuresWork collaboratively with a product and technical visionConsistently deliver features and PRs with an iterative approachDevelop necessary observability and evaluation pipelines for stability of our AI systemsWork with Product and cross functional teams to gather technical requirementsBuild features that integrate seamlessly with the WHOOP backend systemsQUALIFICATIONS:Experience productionalizing products built on top of LLMsExperience in training and evaluating modelsExperience in rapid prototyping (preferably in Python)Strong skills translating product specifications into fully functional applicationsPositive attitude and ownership mentalityStrong communication skills to work both collaboratively and independently
This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
