Job Description

**Closing date: 7th March 2025**

We're putting together a talented team to build the #1 training platform for Runners

We help everyday runners become outstanding by providing world-class training, coaching and community for everyone, whether you're improving your 5k time or training for your first marathon. To date we have built iOS, Android and Apple watch apps that help people achieve their goals by coaching them through the full journey and syncing to their favourite fitness devices.

We’re growing extremely fast and in November 2023 closed a new $6.5M funding round led by JamJar with participation from Eka Ventures, Venrex and Creator Ventures. In 2024, we were selected by Apple as one of three global finalists for the 2024 iPhone App of the Year, reflecting the innovation and impact of what we’ve built. We want to grow as fast as we can into the future and are looking for individuals who will help us get there. For more about our background and growth check out our Careers Page!

We’re now looking ahead to the future and the people who want to help us build and scale Runna. Our aim is to reach millions of subscribers in the next 5 years and be the go-to training platform for any runner. Now is a magical time to join, we're still small, and everyone makes a foundational difference.

We're building out the UK Ambassador team to help drive Runna forward, leveraging exciting ambassador partnerships to propel us to new heights. Join us and be part of a passionate team dedicated to empowering runners everywhere.

🫵 Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for an exceptional, proactive, passionate and driven individual who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help us build an industry-leading ambassador programme.

This position will span across finding new amazing ambassadors, ensuring they love working with us, and creating lasting memories for them via events and race trips. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring we continue to build really strong relationships with all our ambassadors as we continue to scale the channel. If you’re at the start of your career, hungry to get stuck in, have fun and dive into the world of brand activation then we want to hear from you!

As an Ambassador Associate, your role will include:

  1. 🔎 Sourcing new UK Ambassadors (20%) Working closely with Millie (UK Ambassador Lead), Maddie (UK Ambassador Manager) and Tallulah (UK Ambassador Associate) to source and onboard new Ambassadors. Help diversify the pool and expand into new communities.
  2. 🎁 Ambassador Management Support (50%): Working closely with the UK Ambassador team to ensure a seamless and exciting experience for our Ambassadors from the very start. You’ll coordinate onboarding kit and welcome gifts, ensuring every Ambassador feels valued and inspired. Beyond onboarding, you’ll help celebrate key milestones; whether it’s their first race with Runna or a major achievement, strengthening their connection to the brand.
  3. 🎽 Event & Race Trip Support (30%): Assist in planning and executing ambassador-led race/event activations, including flagship events like Hackney Half Marathon weekend. You’ll be working closely with suppliers, venues and race organisers. You’ll support event logistics, including booking race places, travel and accommodation. After events, you’ll help evaluate the impact of the event and collate learnings to improve future activations.

🚀 Where this role could take you:

The Ambassador Associate role is a brilliant entry-level opportunity to learn about ambassador management, as well as events and partnerships. Your career can evolve in multiple directions across the business side of our organisation.

Requirements

If you don’t quite meet all of the below skills, we’d still love to hear from you as we might be able to tweak the role slightly or offer you a position better suited for you. You can apply directly below or contact us if you’re still unsure.

A degree isn’t required for this role, but if you don’t have a degree, we do want to see some experience for this role such as personal projects, internships, or other work experience.

About you:

  • You’re a “doer”; not just a “thinker”. You’re hands-on and want to roll up your sleeves / get stuck in (you have a real ‘go get it’ attitude).
  • You’re organised, efficient and can execute at pace. You can manage lots of spinning plates and prioritise effectively.
  • You care about the small things and have high attention to detail.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You’re a fast learner, see feedback as a gift and constantly think about how you can improve.
  • You’re fun, personable and love running!
  • You're passionate about the running creator space and already have a few ideas of who could make a great Runna ambassador!
  • You’re London-based (or able to work in person 2+ days per week), and you’re happy to travel to Ambassador events.

Interview process

Our aim is to keep the interview process as straightforward and enjoyable as possible, and will consist of the following stages:

  1. Kick off! (Please apply now via Workable)
  2. Introductory chat with Caitlin, Head of Ambassadors (15-minute video call)
  3. Take Home Task (~60 minutes)
  4. Interview with Millie, UK Ambassador Lead and Maddie (Ambassador Manager) (45-minute video call)
  5. Office visit (in-person ~1hr 30mins): 1x 15min chat with Tallulah (Ambassador Associate), 2x 30min chats with two of: Caitlin (Head of Ambassadors), Josh (COO) or Ben (Co-Founder).

Once the process is finished, we promise to let you know our decision as soon as possible.

Benefits

We offer a salary of £31,500-£35,000 (depending on experience), plus equity in the form of Runna stock options.

We'll be growing our package of benefits over time. We currently offer:

  • Flexible working (we typically work 2-3 days in our office in Vauxhall)
  • Salary reviews every 6 months or whenever we raise more investment
  • 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays
  • A workplace pension scheme
  • A brand new Macbook, a running watch of your choice, and anything else you need to do your best work
  • Private health insurance
  • Enhanced family care policy (3 months fully paid leave when a new Runna joins the family, fertility support & other benefits)
  • An hour slot each week (during work time) to do a Runna workout
