SUMMARY

The Analyst, Event Finance will be responsible for supporting the Event Finance division of the BSE Finance Department. The ideal candidate possesses outstanding organizational, time management and interpersonal skills with a shown ability to multi-task. The candidate must also demonstrate strong independent reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the capability to think and act proactively.

This position will report to the Senior Manager, Event Finance. You will have direct exposure to and interaction with the rest of the Finance Department, including the CFO, as well as the Entertainment department.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist in developing ad hoc reporting and dashboards; run various analysis as needed.
  • Prepare wire/check requests for all event related payments.
  • Manage event staffing reporting and analysis.
  • Assist with developmental event expense estimates.
  • Keep track of event related invoices.
  • Generate purchase orders.
  • Occasionally assist with night-of show event settlements.
  • Coordinate with various departments to promote efficiency, communication and cost savings.
  • Assist with the month-end and year-end close process.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliation of intercompany balances between BSE entities.
  • Provide additional support as needed for rest of Finance divisions (Accounting, Brooklyn Nets/New York Liberty Finance, etc)

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • 1 year of experience in a Finance-related position, including internships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required.
  • Entertainment industry and/or live show production experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to nested formulas, pivot tables, lookup functions (knowledge of Excel Macro/Adaptive/Netsuite; VBA experience is a plus).
  • Possess a proven understanding of Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Must have flexibility to work events taking place on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

SALARY RANGE

$65,000 - $75,000 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position will be based in the corporate headquarters in Brooklyn and will be expected to attend and work events on evenings, weekends and holidays, as assigned by the manager.
