Your Role

would be to develop Android applications using the Android SDK and Kotlin, following best practices and using standard development tools.

We are currently looking for a senior and a mid level software engineer to join us on the following project:

Garmin Xero Outdoor: is our sportsman and tactical division, we are working with devices such as chronographs, auto-ranging bow sights, crossbow scopes and trapshooting trainers. Our mobile apps: connect to the device and exchange data with it; allow users to track, score and analyze their data; help users improve their game; show detailed statistics and have other various features depending on the device flavor.    

Responsibilities

• Create and execute designs for software components within a larger project.
• Mentor and provide guidance to less experienced Software Engineers.
• Collaborate and add value through participation in peer code reviews, providing comments and suggestions.
• Estimate the level of effort, evaluate new options of similar technology, offer suggestions to improve processes.
• Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective action for given problems.

Requirements

• Strong Kotlin and Android SDK knowledge.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose.
• BSc in Computer Science, IT or similar.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Android development.
• Proficiency in English.
