JOB SUMMARY: The Texas Rangers are looking for an Assistant Security Supervisor to join our team! The Assistant Security Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all Texas Rangers Baseball Club properties, employees, tenants, vendors, and guests. This leadership role oversees daily security operations, supervises security personnel, and responds to incidents while maintaining a safe, professional, and customer-focused environment. Because security operations are conducted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, this position requires flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during game days and special events. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: Conduct preventive patrols. Secure premises and protect company assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues. Inspect buildings, equipment and access points. Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking pipes and unlocked doors. Monitors surveillance cameras and alarms systems. Respond to fire and medical emergency situations. Observes for signs of criminal disorder and investigates disturbances according to company policy. Investigating complaints from employees, tenants, and guests. Project a professional image and customer-friendly service atmosphere. Must have effective computer and report writing skills. Interact with tenants, employees and guests in a professional and courteous manner. Must be willing to work additional hours to cover game day operations. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • : Must be able to perform one or more to the following activities in an eight-hour shift: walk, stand, climb stairs, ride a bicycle, climb a ladder, turn a pressurized water valve (fire system), bend over to lock and unlock doors.
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Position requires the officer to carry a weapon.
  • Must be certified or able to be certified in first aid, CPR and AED training.
  • Must have eyesight correctable to 20/20.
  • Must not suffer from dichromatic color blindness.
  • Must be able to pass State required
  • training/testing and be able to be registered with The Texas Private Security Bureau as a commissioned officer and maintain the Level III license in good standing.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and physical.
  • Excellent public relations skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  • Good driving record.
  • Must follow complex instructions and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work in a team and alone.
  • Must possess good sound judgement, be objective, be dependable, be in control of emotions, be customer service oriented, be a person of integrity and be professional while carrying out duties.

Requirements

  • : Supervise Texas Rangers Assistant Shift Leaders and Security officers by providing leadership of security operations and properly directing security officers to perform their duties.
  • Assist with scheduling the full-time security officers under their supervision.
  • Train the full-time security officers under their supervision.
  • Must be able to monitor and enter incidents into our 24/7 software system.
  • Will be responsible for dispatching guards to calls for service.
  • Will be responsible for guard line inspections to include uniforms, radios, firearms and all other equipment.
  • May be responsible for miscellaneous game day operations.
  • Will be responsible for monitoring elevator intercoms.
  • Will be responsible for the inventory of security department equipment.
  • Will be responsible for the issuing and collection of shift and vendor keys.
  • Will be responsible for managing key inventory, key and core creation.
  • Will be responsible for mentoring, coaching and counseling all subordinate employees under their direct supervision.
  • Will be responsible for conducting daily briefings.
