What we need:

Gearbox is seeking an Associate Producer to work with our Senior Animation Producer across multiple studio efforts. 

The Associate Producer supports the Senior Animation Producer and will work closely with all Animation leaders and developers.  

As an Associate Animation Producer, you will be an active participant in facilitating communication both within the department and with other pertinent contacts throughout the studio. This role ensures all animation pipelines operate efficiently, Jira is up-to-date, and that coordination with other production team members is constant and reliable.

The Ideal candidate should be highly organized, an expert communicator with a proven record of fostering positive professional rapport and is excited to work in a department that is in the center of all the action.

* This position does not require animation experience or prior experience being an animator.

Responsibilities: 

• Support the Senior Animation Producer’s production goals

• Work with the Feature Producers to ensure requests are correctly identified and generated in Jira with all pertinent information

• Utilize JIRA as primary tasking platform with Confluence and Shotgrid as shared documentation platforms

• Thoroughly update Department Leads and Point Animators regarding content status, risks, trajectory, and goals

• Organize and drive meetings related to the department

• Track the development of content through multiple pipelines

• Work with Department Leads and Senior Animation Producer with the day-to-day production management including (but not limited to) maintaining the department schedules, building production roadmaps, scoping requests, and assigning tasks

Qualifications: 

• 1-3 years of experience as a project manager or producer

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to identify the priority of simultaneous tasks and executing them accordingly  

• Self-motivated

• Excited to work within a highly collaborative production team whose core values are respect, a strong commitment to mutual support, and activate participation in maintaining a positive team culture

• Comfort working with a wide range of workflows and stakeholders

• Prior experience working with project management software such as Jira, Confluence, Excel, and comfort working with administrative tools such as Microsoft Outlook and Word

• Curiosity and a desire to grow

Bonus Points For: 

• Advanced knowledge in: JIRA and/or Confluence or Shotgrid

• Advanced knowledge in: Agile and/or Kanban

• Familiarity with Cinematic and Animation pipelines, workflows, and processes

• Scrum Master Certified

• Departmental production experience (art production, animation production, etc.)

• Master’s Degree in any field that may be applicable
