We are looking for an Associate Data Analyst to join the Marvel Contest of Champions team. This person will pave the way for our internal games team to optimize every facet of player retention and monetization to ensure the continued success of our games. We are looking for someone with superior quantitative analytical skills that approaches data sets with a scientific thought process in order to extract meaningful insights from large data sets.
This role is a full-time, on-site position based 5 days a week at our Downtown Vancouver studio.
In this role, you can expect to:Provide cross-functional support, collaborating with various teams across the organization to understand their business goals and data needs.Review reporting processes and suggest enhancements to resolve inefficiencies. Use SQL to extract and manipulate data from various sourcesPerform hands-on exploration of data sets to answer business questions.Maintain a suite of dashboards and reports tailored to the needs of different teams within the organization, ensuring that dashboards and reports are up-to-date and accurate.Prepare ad-hoc reports as requested.Analyze the results of A/B tests to draw actionable conclusions.Conduct data analysis to review the success of newly released products measured against key metrics.Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals efficiently, prioritizing tasks and managing projects as needed.Your background includes:Bachelors degree in a STEM discipline1-2+ years of industry data analysis experience, with solid knowledge of statistical methodsExpert SQL skills and experience querying very large data setsProven ability to thrive using multiple mixed, varied, and inconsistent data sourcesFundamental knowledge of project management methodologiesComfort presenting complicated material to diverse audiencesExperience with Google BigQuery, Tableau, JIRA and/or other project management softwareExperience working for a social or mobile game developerUnderstanding of game design concepts and principlesExcited by this opportunity?
