OVERVIEW

We are looking for a creative, organized and inspired leader to join the Alo family as an Associate Production Manager. The candidate’s responsibility will include working on a cross functional team of talented individuals to ensure the product is built with integrity, intention and aligned with our brand vision and values.

The ideal candidate will have a proven production & sourcing track record. As a member of the Production team, you will participate in managing on time hand over of orders, analyzing sourcing trends and working closely with senior management to develop vendor, category and country-specific capacity plans to meet overarching business strategies for our rapidly-growing brand. Additionally, the team is responsible for trouble shooting issues that arise during production to deliver 1st quality product to our customers. The ideal candidate will work closely and collaboratively with the Raw Material, Product Development, Planning, Digital, IT, Logistics and Warehouse teams to create beautiful and innovative product.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Issue purchase orders to vendors seasonally; partner with Product Development to ensure styles are cost confirmed and style approved before issuing pos
  • Confirm order handover dates from vendors and then actively manage in-season production to ensure timely handover to freight forwarder
  • Partner with Product Integrity, Raw Material and Product Development teams to troubleshoot issues that arise during production; manage issues to resolution
  • Work closely with Logistics on movement of freight; while Logistics is responsible for freight movement, Sourcing partners with Logistics, Warehouse, Quality and Digital teams to execute timely product launches
  • Partner with Sourcing executives on capacity planning by vendor; by factory; by country; share seasonal order projections to reserve necessary capacity for bulk orders
  • Partner with Raw Material team on capacity planning for mills
  • Work on multi-season sourcing calendars and the execution for all tasks related to the Sourcing cycle (i.e. issuing purchase orders for one order, while another season is in production and a 3rd season and shipping/in transit)
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams from Design, Technical Design, Raw Material R+D and Sourcing to ensure on time delivery per set calendar dates each season.
  • TOP tracking on the WIP; ensure Tech Design has received TOP samples before order hand over (PD tracks actual sample shipment/hand over to Tech Design)
  • Responsible for Key Performance indicators that include but not limited to on time delivery and Air freight as a percent of total shipments
  • Work with Product Development on allocation of bulk orders to appropriate suppliers through consideration of available capacity, capability, workmanship and costing
  • Drive process and IT improvements/solutions to enable seasonal execution and drive efficiencies
  • Handle small projects while keeping on top of current work load
  • Work collaboratively within the overarching Sourcing organization with the Product Development, Raw Material, Color and Product Integrity teams to elevate our collective performance and meet or exceed our goals.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in the apparel industry
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects on an ongoing basis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with appropriate sense of urgency
  • Commitment and superior attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment, build trust and relationships with vendor & cross functional partners
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Thorough understanding of product cycle timeline and production process; Experience from a manufacturing background a plus
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work environment
  • Strong interpersonal and listening skills
  • Strong skill set in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel & Outlook a must
  • Proficiency with PLM/ERP systems is a plus

The base salary range for this position is $78,000-$85,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
