The National Football League’s Audience Development team is looking for an Audience Development Associate who can assist with content reporting, strategic planning, presentation building, and ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and deadline-oriented with excellent organizational skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and YouTube Analytics. This is a year-long position.
 

Summary/Objective

The National Football League’s Audience Development team is looking for an Audience Development Associate who can assist with content reporting, strategic planning, presentation building, and ad-hoc analysis. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and deadline-oriented with excellent organizational skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and YouTube Analytics. This is a year-long position. 

Essential Functions

  • Work with members of the Audience Development team on various data-driven projects including regular League/Club YouTube performance analysis, cross-platform content audits, and League-wide presentations 
  • Assist in efforts surrounding our new YouTube Creator Programs; including Creator discovery, logistics & planning, Club communications, League-wide reporting, and internal discussions
  • Turn data into visually appealing one-sheeters and story driven presentations 
  • Monitor key trends across all digital outlets and provide strategic takeaways based on those findings
  • Analyze top performing content across all sports and media outlets to help provide a strategic and unique content approach for all 33 NFL properties (League + Clubs)
  • Provide Clubs with content best practices & digital performance analyses surrounding major NFL tentpole events (Combine, Draft, Training Camp, Playoffs, Pro Bowl, Super Bowl)
  • Assist in various scheduled and ad-hoc club digital research projects including survey writing, data processing, content series/distribution analysis, and presentation development
  • Manage multiple audience development projects simultaneously for our cross-functional team through communicating progress & timing on deliverables, surfacing new audience opportunities, & providing performance updates/key learnings
  • Attend weekly cross-departmental meetings, partner meetings, & Club presentations

Required Education and Experience

  • Excellent Excel skills and proficiency in both PowerPoint & YouTube Analytics is required 
  • Passion for analyzing data and identifying findings across digital platforms (YouTube, O&O, CTV, FAST, emerging technology platforms)
  • Experience presenting to executives, decision makers and/or external partners
  • Must be passionate about the game of football
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Education and Experience

  • BS or BA in business, marketing, communications, or related field preferred
  • At least 2 years of work experience in a related field preferred
  • Experience with analytics tools such as Adobe Omniture, Power BI, and Tableau is a plus but not required

  • Basic knowledge of the National Football League and the news surrounding the League and its Clubs
  • Passionate about digital media, creator/influencer marketing, content strategy, digital trends, and presentation design

Expected Hours of Work

  • This job posting is for a position with one of the NFL’s third-party agency partners that provides services to the NFL. The individual selected for this role will be an employee of that third-party agency and not the NFL. All compensation, benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment are handled by the agency. The assignment to provide services to the NFL will be limited in duration but may be extended for an additional period by agreement between the NFL and the agency.
