Job Overview  

Wargaming is looking for а Backend QA Engineer for our Server Core team to work on World of Warships in our brand-new Belgrade office. 

World of Warships is the best naval game around, letting you take the command of legendary warships from the period of the 20th century as you battle your way across the open sea with other players. 

Server Tech team is responsible for stable work of the server infrastructure under high load 24/7, reacting on the incidents, integration the services with game server, and supporting other feature teams with our reach expertise.  

What will you do?  

• Creating and maintaining test documentation in actual

• Creating test scenarios

• Performing server-side improvements testing

• Cooperating and communicating with different teams inside the project 

• Work independently on certain types of testing

What are we looking for?

• 2+ years of experience as QA Engineer

• Understanding of software development lifecycle 

• Knowledge of various testing methodologies and techniques 

• Experience in developing test scenarios, including test cases for automation and checklists 

• General understanding of client-server architecture  

• Experience with version control systems (we use git) 

• Experience with testing tools like Testrail, Allure, or similar

• Experience with bug-tracking systems (Jira, YouTrack, etc.) 

• Basic understanding of web technologies and distributed applications 

• Basic knowledge of SQL (overall understanding of databases will be a huge plus) 

• Basic skills in log analysis, including the ability to collect, read, interpret, and troubleshoot logs from various systems 

• Intermediate English level or higher

• Good communication skills

• Readiness for continuous learning

What additional skills will help you stand out?  

• Experience with CI/CD systems like TeamCity or Jenkins 

• Hands-on experience with UNIX-based operating systems   

• Basic knowledge of Python & PyCharm or another scripting language & IDE 

• Experience in the game industry 

Work mode:  

During probation period: onsite, after probation period: hybrid (3 days from office and 2 days from home).
