Are you a hard-working and focused individual who is interested in a career in sports? This role will provide you with hands-on experience in the way we recruit new clients, and service and market our current clients.  It will offer a compelling and insightful look into the sports industry and an introduction to the world of Baseball off the field. Octagon seeks talented and driven applicants who are fully bilingual in Spanish and English to closely work with members of our successful Baseball Division and assist in a variety of challenging and interesting projects.

The position is a paid part-time position (approximately 20 hours per week) in the summer and fall.  Qualified candidates are bilingual (Spanish/English) students and individuals who have graduated from a college/university or have been working within the industry within the last 12 months. 

Who we’re looking for:

• Must be bilingual and fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing and speaking)
• Highly Proficient with Microsoft Office for windows (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
• Extremely detail-oriented, thorough and organized
• Pleasant, professional phone manner
• Demonstrated experience in positions requiring discretion, judgment, tact, and poise
• Ability to work under strict deadlines

The work you’ll do:

• Provide division support in recruiting & creation of recruitment materials
• Follow up on specific client product/brand inquiries
• Organize player equipment including both purchasing & contracted brand partnerships
• Player equipment ordering and logistic follow up
