Join Jam City as a Benefits Administration Specialist, responsible for supporting the development and execution of benefit programs for all our offices worldwide. As a key partner in benefits, wellness, and compliance adherence, you will lead related activities and work closely with the People Team and Company leadership to ensure exceptional service levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES Administer employee benefit programs including health, dental, and vision insurance along with retirement plans, wellness programs, and other employee perks.Collaborate with external benefit providers and insurance brokers to manage benefit plans and resolve employee inquiries.Process employee benefit enrollments, status changes, and terminations, ensuring HRIS system and carrier databases are routinely verified and accurately updated.Research and analyze current benefits programs to evaluate usage, services, coverage, plan experience, and competitive trends, providing recommendations for enhancements.Manage the implementation of new benefits programs and/or modifications to existing programs.Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefit-related inquiries and concerns.Assist employees in resolving issues related to benefit claims, coverage, and understanding benefits documentation.Coordinate annual open enrollment, communicate benefit options, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.Provide education and guidance to employees on available benefits, helping them make informed decisions based on their needs and preferences.Partner with the Employee Experience team to develop and implement wellness initiatives, enhancing overall employee well-being and engagement within the organization.Organize and conduct benefits and wellness related workshops, webinars, and informational sessions.Collaborate with People and Finance teams to reconcile benefits billing, generating HR reports, and assisting with audits.Proactively collaborate with People team members in program delivery, policy and employee handbook updates, process improvements in benefits administration, and other projects as assigned.Perform additional HR tasks as assigned, ensuring compliance with applicable laws. COMPLIANCE: Ensure compliance with all benefits laws and regulations across relevant geographies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment laws such as ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, ERISA, and labor law requirements.Manage required benefit compliance reporting, including 1095-C reporting, Form 5500 filings, non-discrimination testing, and other regulatory submissions.Conduct regular audits to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to regulatory requirements.Establish and maintain benefits policies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.LEAVE MANAGEMENT:Manage leave administration with an outsourced LOA vendor. Track the status of all leaves, including future, pending, current, and closed leaves, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and ordinances.Determine eligibility for various types of leaves and communicate with team members to ensure understanding of the leave process prior to taking leave.Coordinate leave administration with an external LOA vendor, providing all requested employer information. Maintain communication with team members throughout their leave until their return to work.Collaborate closely with HR Operations and Payroll teams to accurately calculate and manage employee leave pay, time-off balances, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws.Utilize available resources to ensure leave processes comply with federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. When new leave laws are enacted, coordinate appropriate processes to ensure compliance.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.3-5 years of experience in benefits administration or related functions within the US and Canada.Previous experience in leave administration with strong knowledge of federal and state-specific leave laws.In-depth knowledge of employee benefits laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.Strong communication skills for effectively assisting employees with benefits and HR-related matters.Highly organized, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to see matters through to resolution.Experience with benefits modules in HR systems, preferably Workday, and integrations/file feeds between HR systems and vendors/carriers.Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and proficiency in other Microsoft/Google applications (Docs, Slides, etc.).Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.A team player who can collaborate across departments to support company goals.Ability to back up other team members when needed.In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation for this role. The range listed is just one component of Jam City's total compensation package for employees, which may also include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, certifications, location, business needs, or market demands. This range is based on a full-time position. This range may be modified in the future. In addition, Jam City provides a variety of benefits to employees, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan, life, disability, and accident insurance. Pay Range:$80,000 -- $112,000
