About Secret Mode

Secret Mode is the publishing wing of the award-winning Sumo Group Ltd. Our goal is to publish internally developed projects from any of Sumo Group’s 19 game development studios across the UK, Canada, Europe, and India, as well as third party independent game developers. We believe that games are for everyone, and that creativity has no limits. We believe quality and fun are everything.

Day in the life of a Brand Creative Manager:

As the Brand Creative Manager at Secret Mode, you will be at the forefront of shaping our brand identity and driving impactful marketing campaigns. Your role involves coordinating and overseeing the production of diverse marketing assets, from compelling trailers and key art to logos, marketing copy, website design, social media assets, and paid media materials. You'll be the creative mastermind from concept to delivery, ensuring a cohesive and compelling visual representation across all marketing channels.

Taking charge of the marketing creative definition for our games, you'll establish the brand vision, create a comprehensive brand bible, and develop a strategic content plan. Your influence extends to the development of the Secret Mode brand in close coordination with internal key stakeholders, contributing to a strong and consistent brand image.

Leading by example, you will inspire and manage a talented team of individuals in the creative team. As a collaborative leader, you'll also coordinate external creative agencies, ensuring seamless communication from brief to delivery. Internal alignment is key in this role, as you foster strong collaboration between the Secret Mode marketing teams and the game teams, ensuring a unified and impactful approach across all creative endeavors.

Please note, this is a hybrid role that will require you to work from our studio in Leamington on a weekly basis.

What you need to do this job:

• Previous relevant experience in video games or entertainment industry marketing assets production.
• The ability to take ownership and responsibility for campaign and content production planning from creation to execution.
• Proven experience utilising project management tools.
• Experience utilising creative tools, such as the Adobe suite.
• Excellent copywriting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• A passion for games and a knowledge of gaming culture and marketing trends.
• Previous managerial experience would be beneficial.

The Interview Process:

At Secret Mode we take a holistic and engaging interview process that allows us to get to know you, your skills and your potential. For the Brand Creative Manager role we have a two stage interview process:

1st Stage: One hour with our Marketing Director, here we will talk with you about your experience, our expectations in the role and ask some competency based questions. There will of course also be opportunities for you to ask questions!

2nd Stage: One hour with the Lead Product Marketing Manager and the Director of PR & Communications. This is a chance for us to discuss further technical aspects of the role and for you to meet some more of the team here at Secret Mode.

3rd Stage: One hour with the Vice President of Secret Mode. (Please note, this final interview may not be deemed necessary).
